THE PROPOSALS

This site comprises land at Wynyard Park, to the north of the A689 and south of Wynyard Avenue. Land to the north of the proposed development already has planning permission and is being developed for a new Sainsbury’s foodstore, two drive-through units, and trade counter floorspace, which are due to be complete in Summer 2025.

Since permission was granted, demand has emerged for development on the wider site. Phase Two of the development would therefore include new retail and commercial floorspace, which complements that already approved, better meet the needs of residents in the surrounding area, and generates new job opportunities.
